Rotis a family run business opened its doors on 1st January 2017, coming from a background of other restaurants in Edinburgh operated by Mohammed din and his two sons Husnan Ahmed and Zulkernan Ahmed .
Our aim is to provide you and every one of our customers with highest quality authentic Indian and pakistani cuisine. Our recipes have been individually developed to provide you with dishes full of traditional flavours. We use traditional cooking methods that ensure the herbs and flavours contained in all our dishes enhance the flavours. Our food is freshly prepared every day by our highly skilled team, they contain a range of fresh ingredients to give our customers both tasty and healthy options.

Mohammed Din born in 1955 moved to UK from Pakistan in 1967. Din had opened his own manufacturing of clothes business in the late 1980’s, however after a few years, times were hard as manufacturing was dying down and businesses were importing from abroad. Mohammed Din decided to move to Scotland with his wife and four children in late 90’s, he had help of a family to relocate to Edinburgh and start fresh.
Bashir Bhatti is the executive chef of Roti restaurant Edinburgh. He holds more than 20 years of restaurant and catering experience. Born and raised in Lahore Pakistan, his first professional position introduced him to the rewarding relationship between food and making people happy. It remains the foundation for what drives him today.
Bhatti trained and worked with other chefs in pearl continental hotel and awari hotel in pakistan lahore. There he honed his culinary skills, learning from some of the country’s most respected chefs. His entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create unforgettable food led to him relocating to London working in award winning restaurants. He has now moved to show the people of scotland the true traditional food of punjab.
